DVB-RCS platform:

DVB-RCS platform closed user network services which allocate bandwidth capacity in a dynamic and flexible usage among remote sites. These services are available across Europe, Africa & Middle East via various satellites in Ku band. Downlink coverage uses widebeam from central site to remote sites which provides good coverage for communication. The return link from remote site to central site is via Atlantic Bird 3 satellite spot beams achieving high data rates. A typical antenna size is of 75cm to 120 cm depending on the site location.

Applications that can be provided are:

• ftp, http, https traffic for web-browsing and downloading
• SMTP, PoP3, IMAP for mails, ICMP : Ping
• Simple UDP application : Yahoo messenger
• Web server
• Mail server
